INTRODUCTION

Capability Building

The capability building function plays a key role in building a pool of capable assessors to support the TBEM assessment process for the Tata group. Tata Business Excellence Group conducts a variety of capability building programmes for Tata managers globally, all through the year. These programmes aim to develop business excellence champions for the assessment process, sharpen the assessment skills of assessors to meet the growing and changing needs of assessment within the Tata group.

 

Adapted to offer insights about improvements, the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) is an institutionalised process that needs high potential talent to be trained in the ways of TBEM assessment discipline - that enhances the body of knowledge about assessments and its nuances. It is this established methodology that Tata Business Excellence Group brings forward to create an institution that nurtures a culture of excellence. With the intent of developing business excellence champions for the assessment process, Tata Business Excellence Group conducts capability building programmes for managers of Tata group companies in India and abroad. As the requirement to assess companies evolves in the Tata group, these capability building programmes aim to sharpen the assessment skills of assessors to meet these demands. Tata Business Excellence Group aims to use these programmes to not only produce good assessors but also good managers.
